Droppin BOMBS!! *Double Drop* Fabriclive 38 and 39
JUST discovered these Mixtapes on accident, A BOMB FELL ON MY HEAD SUCKA! Anyway, Fabric is a nightclub in London. By the looks at it they have some pretty dope Scenesters come through there. Since November 2001 they've been dropping compilation mixtapes done by their fav guest DJ's. These are the two newest editions, to the Fabriclive series.
Fabriclive 38, done up by DJ Craze, is HELLA DOPE. With features by the Cool Kids, Pase Rock, Bangers and Cash(Spank Rock and Benny Blanco), Chromeo, and Kid Sister just to name a few, this is obviously a dope ass, vulgar ass, wash-your-mouth-out-with-soap-after-you-talk-to-me-like-that mixtape! Shit's dope. Rite up my alley. It's a REAL good mix of hip-hop, electro, rock, Drum N Bass, and a lil BUST IT music("BUST IT" music is stuff mixed with everything that you just Do WHATEVER to).

OMG....TQ has a column over at ALL HIP-HOP. It's an L.A. "Laugh" RIOT(..okay that was a bad joke. SORRY!)!! He's telling the story of his music careeer. Now let me be the first to say that his song "Westside" is one of THE BEST songs period of all time. It dropped right after the slaying of the two most important figures thus far in this thing we call Hip-Hop, so he gets due props. And I'm a Fresh Coaster myself, so I love TQ. Anyway, this is an excerpt from part 1:

The song isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It doesn't change the fact that for the most part Jordan's are DED to me anyways. But it's only a snippit, so who knows what the full song has in store. Also, I seriously hope the snippit video WASN'T Nelly's and was just some fanboy, bc if Nelly has some of the same J's as I do, and he's not on that super exclusive tip... Blow The Whistle - Jay-Z (Deshawn Stevenson Diss Track)
For those that don't know the story:
Deshawn Stevenson of the Washington Wizards called LeBron James “overrated.”
Lebron responded by telling media his responding to Stevenson’s comment would be like “Jay-Z responding to Soulja Boy.” The two went at it during the first three games of their playoff series with James almost single handedly defeating the Wiz in games 1 and 2.
Stevenson and company regrouped to take game 3, even inviting Soulja Boy, who was in attendance.
But leading up to game 4, James brought in reinforcements. According to the Washington Post, Hov has recorded a track for LeBron aimed at Stevenson and the Wizards. The song premiered at D.C. night spot Love on Friday night; the same location Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas celebrated his 25th birthday last year with a million-dollar bash. James hosted the party and he and teammates had fun at Stevenson’s expense. Stevenson, however, didn’t take too kind to word of the song.
“When I had Soulja Boy here, it was on the court. It was nothing disrespecting him or his family or even foul language,” he told the newspaper. “So I’m boycotting Love. Everybody on our team, we’re boycotting Love…. We’re not going no more. But I appreciate Jay-Z for giving me the shout out.”

So when 2010 rolls around and everybody offers him 393u523975twe teen Hundred billion dollars a year, Maybe that one time Jigga backed up him and let him throw his birthday party at the 40/40 in Vegas will tip the scales and make the difference. He'll feel obligated to sign with Brooklyn, forcing the cavs to miss the playoffs for another 13 years. Once you've got Lebron in a brand new arena in a huge market like Brooklyn, they'll have all the moneyz in the world to bring whoever they want to back up Lebron causing 12 titles in 13 seasons, besting the celtics to become the greatest DYNASTY EVER. Because A DIAMOND IS FOREVER SUCKA!

A Fresh Breakdown - Atmosphere: When Life Gives You Lemons Paint That Shit Gold
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, been alil' busy. Anyway. Like the wait of a Fresh new post, I've been waitin' for this group Atmosphere to bust out with a new CD for a while. A quick FYI for yall that don't know 'em. It's two white boys, one raps, the other produces. The white boy that raps, his name is Slugg, and that muthafucka is good. The white boy that produces, his name is Ant, and that muthafucka is good. Put it like this, the group is so good, that they constantly get offers from big label-heads all the time, but they'd rather stay true to their music n stay underground. Gotta respect that. It's been a few years since the group from Rhymesayers Ent., givin' fans a few teasers, but they've finnaly brought out somethin' for soundscan (no pun intended.)
One thing Slug has stayed consistant with if he doesn't tell you a story, he talks about things that the common man / woman can relate to. And he doesn't try to dumbfound his listeners with super-complex metaphores or similies. Or flood his songs with suicide n shit like that, pretty versatile topics. Put it to you like this, he's the white version of Scarface. And he starts off right on pace in the "Like the rest of us," with such humble things as "been in this world for 37 years, lookin at myself in the same dirty mirror." And he keeps a smooooth steady flow throughout that fresh mellow beat Ant laid down. You expect the same kinda thing all throughout the CD.
And that other thing I mentioned about Slug were those stories. Damn man, he keeps the good stories rollin'. And him, bein' a clever guy that he is, he doesn't just end the story like you'd think, nooooo, silly reader. For example. The song "The Waitress" he starts off, he tells you that he's a bum, and he goes to see this waitress that he's obviously in love with. Now, of course you kiddies jumped the gun, like I did, and jus thought it was a bum in a love story. Well, Slug does what he can to lead you on, and make you think it's justa bum doin' what he can to get in a resturaunt to see a waitress he's obsessed over. But.. It isn't what it appears.. He is in love with her.. But he later reveals that the bum is the father of the waitress! I know, who woulda thought?!! Or how he tells a story about how a little girl who thinks her dad is a star. Shit, you jus gotta hear it.
The CD, for the most part is very very on pace, only song that kinda threw it outta whack was "You," which is about 6 songs deep into the CD. But overrall, the CD is on a real mellow-blusey kinda tip. But a classic indeed.
