Sample of the Week! (Isaac Hayes)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Wow. Not even gonna lie. Totally stumbled upon this one. I love the internet. Shout out to Internet Radio Station PANDORA
for popping on Smokey Robinson's cover of Walk On By through my phones. Which made me wonder who else covered Dionne Warwick's #77 best song of all time according to Rolling Stone. This is where Wikipedia comes in. Isaac Hayes has a version. Off to imeem to listen. POW! 2 Samples hit my ears from the first 30 seconds. That drum break to start is obvious by the time you reach the climax, and immediately afterwards Biggie pulled through. Both are obvious if you pay attention in the first 2 seconds of the song. But I have a slow memory. It takes about 30 seconds to be like What's that from? and go down a list of sounds in my head. After a minute or two I hear something else, but can't make it out. Hop over to The Breaks Sample List Ah HAH! My favorite Pac album of all time. Now I'm going to email my homie at The Resurgence of the Soul Sample and tell him to check out our SOTW and link so he can send some of his viewers over, so THEY can be up on game. :D
