BCS Madness

Well, before I dive into the madness known as the BCS, I'ma brag abit.

For Four years straight now, ya boy has been spot on with the BCS championships and the Champions.  Here's what I predicted at the beginnin' of each season.

USC v. Texas - Texas
Florida v. Ohio St. - Florida
LSU v. Oklahoma - LSU  ( Ok, ok, I wasn't 100% on this one.)
Florida v. Oklahoma - Florida (And we're gonna see if my Gators pull through.)

How do I do this you say?  Well, because the scale of competition is so unbalanced now, so you can safely assume that the SEC are the beasts in college football, with the Big 12 behind them.  Everything after that is pretty much a toss-up, but I'd make a case for the ACC, but that's a different argument.  The best conference has been a long goin' argument for years now.  And since this BCS (which was suppose to fix these problems) thing has surfaced, alotta teams got screwed, and some have been put in places they weren't suppose to.

The most recent screw up was the Texas Oklahoma thing.  Yes, I picked Oklahoma in the beginnin' of the season, but it still doesn't negate the fact that Texas beat them on a neutral field by 10 points.  You'd think that'd be the tie-breaker huh?  Well, it's college football ladys n gents, so NO!!  That won't be the case.  I can remember a more obvious screw up, I think it was in '03, when Auborn went undefeated, Oklahoma lost  the Big 12 Championship, but Oklahoma got to go to the National Championship game against USC.  And Auborn had to settle for some schoo' they pounded to death.   And for the past few years, we've seen to many teams get spots they weren't suppose to have.  Ohio State last year, Notre Dame gettin the bid against LSU in '06.  And there have been down-right INSULTS to teams who just end up gettin' the short end of the stick in their conference.  For example, this year...  Alabama gets to play the mighty Utah, after poundin' people all year, poor Texas gets to play Ohio St (lmao).  Last year Georgia had to play Hawaii.  And it's alot of others.

My question is, why can't they make more intriguing match-ups?

How come these can't be the match ups for deserving teams?

Texas v. Alabama.

and  Utah will play Ohio St instead.

Texas Tech v. Ole Miss is gonna be a good game, don't sleep so no complaints on that one.

GIVE US PLAYOFFS!!!  COME ON PAC-10 PRESIDENTS!!

But anyway.  I leave on this note.

GO GATORS!!
