Here's a bootleggy video of a few of the performers. Maybe it's just me but it seemed like the 300 - 400 people crowded in the Seattle gig were MUCH louder than this new york crowd but that's just me.
In order of appearance:
-EQ (Houston)
-C-Sick (Chicago) **WINNER**
-Rob Bates (Chicago)
-Illmind (New Jersey / Philadelphia)
-14KT (Detroit)
-Mr. Dibia$e (Los Angeles)
-Algorythm (Washington, D.C.)
-Rising Son (Seattle)
-Brainstorm (Seattle)
-Malek aka Hitmaker (Oakland)
-Marc Garvey (Oakland)
-Ritz (Philadelphia)
-myself, J. Bizness (The 909 / Los Angeles)
-The Best Kept Secret (Washington, D.C.)
-Frank Dukes (Toronto / Detroit)
-Sound MOB (Houston)
Anyway, on some east vs west bullshit, they picked off all the west coasters first. Maybe I'm making more out of it than it really is, and it could just be the sound differences of the coasts. but whatever.
Brainstorm has a blog up on his myspace about the day to day antics that happened. Apparently he got rushed into picking a beat and he used one he didn't want to use at the time or something. Which, if it were me, I'd have like a top 2 or 3 that I was thinking about for the 8 weeks inbetween comps, lol, but it's all gravy.
Look out for the competition to be broadcasted on BET in Feb 09.
WE'RE MOVING SOON. DON'T PAY US ANY ATTENTION. THIS VERSION OF DROP-BOMB is officially DEAD.
