New Dyme Def - Dreamin

This came out a couple days ago, I was just too lazy to throw it up on zshare and link it and all that so I just jacked the link from the homies over at RainDropHustlas.

Dyme Def - Dreamin (produced by bean one)

The trio is readying a couple of EPS for 2009, this is one of the tracks that didn't make it. So expect more soon.

Red Bull Big Tune Finals Update

Here's a bootleggy video of a few of the performers. Maybe it's just me but it seemed like the 300 - 400 people crowded in the Seattle gig were MUCH louder than this new york crowd but that's just me.

In order of appearance:

-EQ (Houston)

-C-Sick (Chicago) **WINNER**

-Rob Bates (Chicago)

-Illmind (New Jersey / Philadelphia)

-14KT (Detroit)

-Mr. Dibia$e (Los Angeles)

-Algorythm (Washington, D.C.)

-Rising Son (Seattle)

-Brainstorm (Seattle)

-Malek aka Hitmaker (Oakland)

-Marc Garvey (Oakland)

-Ritz (Philadelphia)

-myself, J. Bizness (The 909 / Los Angeles)

-The Best Kept Secret (Washington, D.C.)

-Frank Dukes (Toronto / Detroit)

-Sound MOB (Houston)

Anyway, on some east vs west bullshit, they picked off all the west coasters first. Maybe I'm making more out of it than it really is, and it could just be the sound differences of the coasts. but whatever.

Brainstorm has a blog up on his myspace
about the day to day antics that happened. Apparently he got rushed into picking a beat and he used one he didn't want to use at the time or something. Which, if it were me, I'd have like a top 2 or 3 that I was thinking about for the 8 weeks inbetween comps, lol, but it's all gravy.

Look out for the competition to be broadcasted on BET in Feb 09.

Emerald City Journeys to Oklahoma (booo Thunder!)

Henry McComas (director of the critically acclaimed film, Emerald City) has posted his blog about the trip on Crookedlp.com.

Stay tuned for more information on his newest project Pheonix Falling:

With that being said, Crookedlp.com, I cannot let this feeling escape; I have started pre-production for my next budgeted film “PHOENIX FALLING.” The film has had me interviewing geneticists, doctors, and piles of books for my latest dramatic, Science Fiction project. But that story is for another day. I will tell you all about it next time.

Check out CrookedLakeProductions.com, the MySpace, and EmeraldCity.

Blue Scholars x Common Market x Everett Theatre Saturday the 18th

Blue Scholars with Common Market

8 p.m. Saturday the 18th, Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett; 425-258-6766, www.everetttheatre.org; tickets are $16.50.

The everett theatre is hurtin for cash, so they decided to throw a huge concert with two of the biggest names in Seattle hip-hop. Good idea.

You also have to have ticket sales. The 834-seat theater needs to bring in 300 people to cover the cost of the Blue Scholars show, Beeson said.

"We can't do anything but break even, because there's nothing to fall back on," he said.

With 140 tickets sold as of Monday, success is not yet in hand. If the show falters, however, it won't be for a lack of trying. Capon and his friends plan to hand out as many as 5,000 fliers. They set up a table at the Everett Mall on Sunday, and on Monday, hit Everett Community College.
