The Sound of Young America Podcast: Blu of Blu & Exile
Blu jumps on a podcast to talk about some of the stuff that inspired him to become involved in hip-hop and the troubles he went through. The first songs he fell in love with, to which cassette singles he first started buying himself to the first time he heard that 'dope girl song' "used to love her". From DMX to Ma$e, Will Smith, and Timbaland & Magoo. It's all here. Great interview.
I can't recall exactly who and where, but I swear, LATELY I've heard quite a few great rappers talk about DMX's first album inspired them. I know Jay-Z said it on the UK interview and Blu talks about it as well. Crazy to think about Earl then and now. Good news though. We are about halfway through this day (pacific time), and DMX has not been arrested.
Congrats Buddy!

Aaliyah on Fader Magazine Icon Issue Cover
They proceed to interview some of those close to her, or inspired by her, about some memories they have of her.
It sucks that she was JUST starting to get credit where it was due at the END of her life..I had been checkin for her for a MINUTE. Because my older sister had been a fan of hers ever since her VERY first song ever came out, I always had known about her..
R.I.P Baby Girl. You are STILL MISSED.

Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park - "We Made It" VIDEO!
Busta Rhymes new album Blessed is set to hit stores in June. I'm VERY excited for the album after hearing these first two singles. This video is hella dope. Look out for Lamar Odom making a cameo somewhere in the video. See if you can spot him.

Izza Kizza ft. Missy Elliott - Walk the Dawg
This is one of Timbo's new artist's, the song is pretty cool. However, history has proven Timbo's artists only do well when they're female.
Aliyah -> Win
Missy -> Win
Bubba Sparxxx -> Fail
Magoo -> HELLA FAIL
Henry wanted to contribute:
Petey Pablo -> FAIL
D.O.E. -> FAIL
Justin -> WIN!
lol. I'm gonna get him a pw to this blog, he's ALways got interesting shit to say.
lol, I'm not saying Bubba wasn't dope, because he was/is, but for some reason, unless you're female you won't do well on Timbo's label. Just stating facts.
Anyway, Download/listen here
