The L.A. Producer is back with several (17) new instrumental treats to bless you with. No stranger to the concept beat tape, the follow up to The Westside Of The Moon is an instrumental adventure using samples of Iceland's quirky queen, Bjork. I can honestly say this is a great listen from start to finish. Share this with your friends. Use it to sharpen your skills, or to simply zone out, both are appropriate. Let Dert know what you think by hitting him up on myspace.com/dertbeats. Shout out to the good people at strictlybeats.blogspot.com

BlakFace Music Group Presents: DJ Semaj - Patent Leather Soul (The Lost Files)
Download DJ Semaj Patent Leather Soul
DJ Semaj, a great friend of the Northwest Hip-Hop scene, starts off 2009 in a soulful manner. These 10 beats (12 tracks total) reenforce the fact that we're dealing with a student of music. Semaj makes no apologize for his technique and vehemently defends his sound. The sound from which hip-hop itself was birthed. A man and his crates. Pulling out a slew of classic rhythm and blues records, Semaj laces the sample hungry, while simultaneously minding those who fiend for a good "slap". So click the link and enjoy your late Christmas present from DJ Semaj, BlakFace Music Group, and The good folks at Drop-Bomb.com.

Hometown Heroes: The Saturday Knights
Just trying to top off an incredible SEATTLE night. These two emcees (Tilson and Barfly) and producer (DJ Suspence) are from our way of town. They are giving their album away for FREE. They just want some feedback, your email address and some love. Don't worry they're not going to send you very much gay porn either. So it's legit. I'm gonna bang the whole album and then come back with some more on this.
Catch them at BUMBERSHOOT on the 31st annnnnd the Fergie concert in puyallup on sept 16th. Fergie? lol. Oh well. Check out their Myspace as well.

Hometown Heroes: Jae Hoffa - A Millie
This dude is from Seattle and is fuxin wit Young Buck, which means he's probably down with B. Brown who produced the 50 diss track about the phone call. Umm, just search back in our posts. Or check the similar tags, you'll see.
Now here's the deal. This dude is pretty dope, and I love to see that coming from local talent. At the same time. If I hear another mothafucka from Seattle try to claim some hard shit, I'm gonna flip. Seattle IS NOT HARD! Matter fact. Lemme finish this post.

Diddy - No Bitch Ass Ness
While I love the movement, I'm not sure the T Shirt is the way to go about that. How many clubs are gonna let you in with a "NOBITCHASSNESS" T down to your ankles? Because at the club is the likley place where the people who need to see that shirt, need to be. What you NEED to do, is get with my man, H DILLA (Henry McComas) and buy one of his "FREE HIP-HOP" T's. Because we need to Free Hip-Hop from it's prison of stereotypes, and defend it's attacks from angry white people all over. (I'm allowed to say that, I'm white)
Anyway, What's up with his LL impression at the end?
