Soulful Sundaes: Kanye West - Paranoid

So let me begin by saying that this is my personal favorite track of his not-so-favorite(of mine) 808's and Heartbreak. I enjoyed this song thoroughly after I listened through a few times however. I like the instrument changes they made for the video, it's very very subtle but it sounds less synthy..try to catch it. ENJOY! THIS IS THE OFFICIAL video by the way, that other one was one of the CLONES like Pharrell and Chad say.

Angie Martinez interviews Kanye West

Incredible interview. I love Angie wit her fine ass. And Kanye's freestyle at the end is DOPE! He gives alot of insight as to why the new album is like it is, and I definitely agree with his way of thinking to the utmost. I DO, however, wish that he would have taken some vocal training before he recorded..but I guess it's necessary to get the creativity out when it's there FRESH in your mind. I hope that Yeezy continues to do HIS music like HE wants..I stand firm on my opinion that he needs to learn how to sing before he does so though.

It wasn't okay for Van Gogh to kill himself, and it wasn't okay for Kanye to kill your ears. He can fix it. The album is FIRE, btw. His voice not so much, although it doesn't take anything away from the album. STILL BALLIN!

Chyea.

Soulful Sundaes: *Heartbreak Edition* Kanye West - Welcome to Heartbreak feat. Kid Cudi

Gotta LOVE it. This song is intense. I can almost see his pain dude..fuck feeling it.

How original is Kanye?? All Of Kanye's Samples

Now..  Before I post this video.  I'd like to ask a few questions, because some of these samples I didn't know he basically re-did the beat from.  I just thought he mostly had voice samples, but the video shows he takes the beats too.

Now, I remember some years ago, when Murder Inc. was on top, and I was gettin' on Irv Gotti's ass for takin' old rap beats and re-doin' them.  Now Dr. Dre did some of this, but..  Dr. Dre only took peices for his song, not just throw in some extra kicks, snares, his, n 808s.  I mean some shit that's really really really really tight, are actually pretty old.  So, with damn near every beat you've heard Kanye do, is basically some old song with a few more tinks added it.  The part we credit him for the most (cuz I surely don't think he's a great rapper,) he actually hasn't masterminded it.  Not sayin' he's not capable for doin' some tight beats, because the "Workout Plan," or beats like that "B Alright" (Trina n Ludacris), track he did isn't on there.  But should he get the credit he deserves?

Kanye West - Heartless [full/cdq]

Kanye West - Heartless

Again. I'm against the grain of the whole hip-hop crowd I guess because I fux with everything from this album so far. I know everyone's mad at the auto tune. But to me it doesn't sound bad. When it sounds bad, I hate it. But I'm not mad. I'm not sure I want to hear Kanye singing without it. lol.

Anyway. Thoughts?

Love Lockdown - Hi Haters

If you haven't heard this track yet. You're in a cave. I was in a cave on purpose. I wasn't excited to hear this. Every blog and forum I happened upon decided it was a terrible song.

This really got me going. The hater inside me wanted to come out for this song. But he started nodding his head and I realized. This is a good song. The Autotune isn't over the top T-pain excessive, and so what if Kanye wants to sing? Mothafuckas can't win for losing out here.

I know everyone is tired of the T-Pain Roger Troutman thing. I am too. But you're making a mountain out of a molehill here. Henry will blast me for comparing it to Love Below and it's a reach but mothafuckas hated the same way when Dre just wanted to do some different shit. Then he came back ripped up a few remixes and he's #1 on everyone's list? C'mon gawd!

Say what you say about Phonte and his SV-ish group. The mothafucka is a genius.
