Stat Quo - The Invisible Man
I love Stat. This whole mixtape per month thing is working out better than it did for CH, because none of these tapes have sounded lazy. I like it. I haven't heard this one yet, but he did like 5 interviews saying he didn't give a shit about Dre's vault and he would drop some em and dre beats. Well, looks like that's not gonna happen. That shit's probably more secure than fort knox. Everyone givin him shit about those reference tracks leaking, but those weren't in the vault yet. and damn 3 or 4 leaks in like 3 or 4 years. Pretty damn good in my book. lol

As the 4th quarter is upon us, we've been blessed with some pretty nice CDs so far. But, there are still a few albums that I, and the people of BombSpot can't wait to get our hands on. Oh, and this ain't in a particular order.

Dr. Dre gets his own Cognac.
(Remember this old rumored album cover like 5 years ago?)
In the Drinks Americas Q4 earnings, which were released yesterday, the company said it would introduce Aftermath Cognac in the next 60 days. The production, supply and European distribution of the cognac will be handled by Abecassis Cognac, a cognac producer.
Following that, an 80-proof flavored and unflavored sparkling vodka will hit the market, also within the next 60 days.
I guess everyone's doin the vodka thing these days. If Grey Goose and Redbull need an official sponsor, holler at Tiffloc. Myself being the cheap ass that I am usually stick with the 100 proof Smirnoff, or some 151 and Cherry LimeAide Juice. WTF is Juice though?

LOOK OUT FOR DETOX!
You can add DETOX (hopefully) to your Christmas list. According to USA today who interviewed him.
"I'm just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it's going to be right and it's something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it," says Dr. Dre (aka Andre Young). "In a perfect world, I'm shooting for a November or December release."
And what about the future?
"I'm going to put this record out, promote it, tour and then become a hermit. I'm going to stay in the studio and produce."
But he says he isn't interested in producing albums for established artists. Dre says his goal is to find who's next.
"All I want to do is sit in the studio with that person for a year and try to create another masterpiece."

Prophet - It's Like That (For Detox)
DOWNLOAD
As the story goes, this was recorded and written for Dr. Dre's Detox, and he liked it and is recording himself in the next few days but once he records on it, it becomes impossible to jack because Dre locks that shit up until he's ready to give it to anyone.
The writer and rapper is a guy named Prophet. I'll believe it when I see it, personally. I've listened to a few "PREtox" mixtapes, and until we get the actual Detox album with any of those songs on there I just don't see anything coming out this early.
I remember back in 2003 or something I hit Limewire hard and found a Crooked I track that was for Detox. I was all excited until I realized Detox still wasn't coming in 2005 and I refuse to get excited now, no matter how dope the song sounds.
Spotted at 2DopeBoyz
Enjoy
