Mafia Music Remix (AKA: We Are the World Against 50, lol).

Here's the order. The Game, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Rick Ross

Ok a few questions 'bout this..

1.  Why would Rickey want The Game on his diss to 50 when he said "50 eatin' you!!"
2.  Why is The Game tryna make his voice more deep n raspy like The Bawse?
3.  Why would Fat Joe bring up snitchin' when he snitched on 50, and Gucci Mane on the radio?  He's got you recorded on the radio Fat Joe!  Recorded!
4.  WtF is Lil' Wayne?!  They were sayin 'he was jumpin' on this.  Lol.
5.  Rule York??  Wow.  That was a cold verse from him though.

Fat Joe - Hey Joe

How can one artist be so god damn inconsistent. Lots of people forget Joe was holdin his own in DITC and his FAT JOE DA GANGSTA days. Even his All or Nothing album was worth the purchase IMO but nothing lately. Well Cook Coke himself goes the fucc "N" on this latest joint with "Infamous" on the beats killing the Jimi Hendrix Sample.

The Elephant in the Room (No Fat Joe)

The Chop Suey Shooting seems to be on everyone's mind. So I wanted to drop a few of my thoughts in the mix. Mainly on the fact that the Hip-Hop Scene is going to die and we're not going to have a place to go anymore, and people are going to blame hip-hop. I'll admit when I first heard about it, I thought that was it for Seattle but I've realized none of that will happen if we don't want it to and I'll tell you why.

Hip-Hop doesn't kill people, people kill people.

A few years ago. Seattle used to have a pretty dope nightlife for clubs and such. At least it felt like that to me. I was like 20 getting drunk and going to 131 and heavens every weekend, all weekend finding random skeeza's to bang, having fun with the homies every night and listening to some dope dj's. Then I don't know what happened, it seemed like all of a sudden every night was a fight, or a shooting. Pretty soon there was this public outcry on Nickles to do something and he started blaming it on all the clubs and they kept closing down different places. The place in Pioneer that Hamlin got beat up at (name escapes me), They turned Tabellas into a church, sugar got sold and turned into a gay bar (last time I checked) and who knows what ever happened to level 5. Now personally I go out once in a while to catch up with old friends but the clubs suck, the dj's suck, and the people are still ignorant and looking for a fight or get grabby on the girls. But if you need to scratch that club itch, there's still a zillion places to go despite all that's happened.

Point is... Seattle's hip hop scene will never die and there will never be a shortage of clubs as long as we want to go to them. There's a million examples as to why this is. They tried shutting everything down with the club scene. The clubs still popped up in new spots all over. If you prefer football, Pacman Jones will STILL get a contract after the cowboys just released him, despite all the trouble attached and Mike Vick will play when he's released from prison. It's just the way it happens. However, even if it becomes some sort of ridiculous law in seattle that it becomes illegal to perform hip-hop in public I'm sure some of us will open our houses/apartments and make that shit in our bathtub (c) prohibition.

Somehow there has to be a responsibility for these clubs to always have security, if it's an added fee on the ticket, I will gladly pay it and I'm sure others will. This can't just be their responsibility either. It's on us too. Promoters make sure it's happening, artists insist it at your show, fans that show up and don't see security ask for the club owner or someone in charge and let them know they're fuckin up or leave and don't support that club.

It will be all the rage on the news and they will blame it on the music, but we ought to be used to defending our culture by now. So what's new?

KRS-ONE says "Put bread in yo brotha's mouth before putting a diamond on your neck."

Also Scarface  and Fat Joe pops up and speaks to KRS.  Either Scarface is your average rapper height (no taller than 5'4, lol,) and KRS one is a tall guy.

50 Cent starring in Fat Joe's funeral.

I tol' yall 50 was laughin' his ass off 'bout those numbers.

The Results from Super Tuesday.. And The Winner Is

The big Boss himself.

Rick Ross clocked in with 198,000 copies according to Soundscan.  That's actually really good for this day and age of album sales.

The Big Boss Dogg Snoop Dogg rang in 137, still pretty nice numbers.

The Elephant in the room who we later found out in the sand only scanned 46,000.  And yall know good n well 50 is laughin' his ass off.

But other than this, this is a nice sign, three mainstream artists come out in the same day and we still get numbers like this.  Hopefully it can stay like this.

WTF?! Papoose and Remy Getting Married.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Last night on BET's The Black Carpet, rumors concerning a quiet-as-kept Hip Hop union were confirmed by host Egypt in revealing that rappers Papoose and Remy Ma are set to be husband and wife, with a wedding planned for summer. Remy Ma allegedly confirmed the rumors with the show host.

Both rappers have had a difficult last year. Papoose was recently let go of a blockbuster deal with Sony Records, after many speculated that the label had no intention of releasing the debut album from the Brooklyn emcee. Remy Ma, who remains in trial for attempted murder charges stemming from an early 2007 nightclub shooting, is also seeking a label home. Initially billed for 2007, Remy's next project is said to be PunisHER, which was to be released on Sureshot Records.

With a recent altercation between Papoose and former Remy Ma mentor and Terror Squad member Fat Joe, the seemingly unmotivated incident has two degrees of separation from Remy, who remains critical of Joe's ethics, leadership and integrity.

A Fresh BreakDown - Fat Joe: The Elephant In The Room

Cook, Coke, Crack!  He's been in the game for a minute now, but it seems like his popularity is finally comin' back alive since Pun was 'round (thanks to the 50 beef and chillin' in Miami.) Fat Joe seems to have been granted a 2nd chance in this game, cuz seriously, when has he ever been relevant?  Anyway, The Elephant In The Room it suppose to be one of his most promising works, sales-wise and quality-wise.

Now I must say, one thing that Fat Joe stays on top of is his production game.  He always has a nice line-up of production on his albums, it doesn't even matter if you've heard of the producer or not.  Only problem is, the lyrics hardely ever meet the calibur of the beat.  He did have his bright spots on the LP though.  (We're gonna leave along who-wrote-what for him in each song, you listen and determine that.)  Without a doubt, his hottest song on the CD is "My Conscience" with fellow Bronx bomber KRS-One.  Even though it's apparent KRS is way ahead here, he keeps up enough to keep the song from goin' into a down-ward spiral.  Funny part on this song is when Fat Joe says "I'm the Greatest Of All Time"  KRS responds back with "Joe, I'm the best, you must be out your fuckin' mind."  Lol.  I thought that was hilarious.  And it's 2008, post-make-it-rain-on-them-hoes, so it's not uncommon to see Lil' Wayne n Fat Joe hook up on "Crackhouse."  But it seems like Wayne can't keep up with Wayne, I mean...  Fat Joe can't keep up with Wayne on this song, so it kinda loses it's flare.  Joey Crack also has a cut from Dj Premier, another beat where his lyrics can't keep up with the calibur of the beat.  And at the end you get to hear Fat Joe get his own New Orleans / Atlanta swag on.

Now on to the dark spots.  The words "hustler" n "crack" floods this album somethin' terrible.  Yea yea yea, that's all he's been about, well wtf eva, every other older rapper is showin' growth, why not him?  If he switches up from the crack, he takes it to the club.  Now other than his one-tracked topics, the lyrics aren't attractive at all.  Even it seems like he's doin' good on the tracks, you hear another rapper rappin' for 'em basically.  It even sounds like he jacked some rhymes from Big Pun's rhyme book in the 1st verse of "K.A.R."  Just when you try to give 'em the benefit-of-the-doubt, and say maybe it was all him, you don't hear a trace of what your just heard in that 1st verse, even if Wayne wrote the last verse..  Nuthin' even close.  Now I like the song "300 Brolic", all it is...  Is Lil' Wayne, with Fat Joe's voice, I mean, plenty of people have ghostwriters, but do you hafta jack Wayne's adlibs too?

The Elephant in The Room didn't do anything special but take up space and make the room stink.  No Dumbo tricks or anything of the sort.  Maybe when Joey finds his own swagger and talks about other things, maybe he'll have a good album under his belt in his Post-Pun career.  The beats really hold this album up.
