The triumphant return of the Soulful Sundaes begins NOW! I apologize once again for always being busy. I worked fucking 14 hours yesterday. I know bogus beef shit!!! But we are looking lovely on this Sunday Afternoon. Easy like Sunday Morn in here. So as we begin, I go back to 2007, wit Kenna's Make Sure They See My Face. The genius behind his music is so snorlaxed on. That's WORD!!! And with Chad Hugo as executive producer, this was easily one of the best albums of the year. This was the closeout song for the album, it's called Wide Awake. Peepers you Creepers.

Soulful Sundaes: Death Cab For Cutie - Grapevine Fires
Before we get into this, I gotta say that Death Cab is by far the dopest band out. I need to start incorporating more of their music into the blog, as I feel we've been focusing a bit too much on hip-hop. Death Cab IS Seattle!!!
Now when I FIRST heard this song a month ago...it brought so many emotions to mind. It is a VERY VERY powerful song and has such a deeper meaning than the lyrics themselves. Enlightened symphonies indeed. Undeniably amazing. And I must say that as much as I loved the song, when I saw this video it almost made me cry. If it really IS based on a true story....MAN..Hearts go out is all I have to say. ENJOY.
Walter Robot created the masterpiece video for the song, and if you haven't seen any of his other work, I'll be glad to make this weeks Soulful Sundae Robot-HEAVY! Stay tuned kids..and of course..

David Banner, Southern University SGA president, undergrad 3.5, grad 3.9. Straight outta Mississippi, yeeea, so FUCK YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK WE'RE TO COUNTRY TO BE EDUCATED!!!
Anyway. I agree 100% with what Banner's sayin' 'bout Obama. And just wait, if Mr. Obama wins, it's gonna be a-million-and-one black groups, universities, schools, everything to the fuckin' local Boys N Girls club are gonna be mad because "he didn't come speak at our event." Well shit, he's the president, he JUST MIGHT be alil' BUSY! Might be alil busy fixin' this FUCKED UP economy, puttin' US troops in the RIGHT place, finding substitutes for gas so yo' black ass won't look at gas as another bill! Puttin' cash back in your pocket to make healthcare affordable for YOU, ME, and YOUR KIDS, make it affordable and then some, so you can probably afford that new car, or move into that new house, or go to that university that you or your kids wanna go to. Bush has fucked shit up beyond belief and it will take Obama a LONG time to get shit clickin'. A lot of us are expecting Obama to get in there and work like Jesus and get shit back goin' to you. NOOOOO. Obama is goin' to take every goal that was unreasonable and make it achievable again. Shit is NOT gonna be a handout, we gotta do our part too. Can't complain about bein' broke if a job is right 'round the corner n you don't fill out an application, right? To sum it up, if Obama stays true to his proposed policies, things will get better, but the man ain't Jesus, Buda, Allah (excuse me if I mis-spelled that,) and ect. Don't expect the super-natural miracle the day after he moves in. .. On that note. Go Obama!
