Hyphen and J Moore were joined in the studio by Geologic from the Blue Scholars. Along with laughing at the crazy callers, Geo was in the building to talk about the upcoming Blue Scholars and Common Market shows at the end of the week here in Seattle. If you're in the town, you better be coming through Neumo's Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday night to see two of our most talented groups tear it down like they always do.

Glasses Malone and Mistah F.A.B., also dropped in before performing at the Star Bar that night, so be on the lookout for that part of the show too!

Blue Scholars x Common Market x Everett Theatre Saturday the 18th

Blue Scholars with Common Market

8 p.m. Saturday the 18th, Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett; 425-258-6766, www.everetttheatre.org; tickets are $16.50.

The everett theatre is hurtin for cash, so they decided to throw a huge concert with two of the biggest names in Seattle hip-hop. Good idea.

You also have to have ticket sales. The 834-seat theater needs to bring in 300 people to cover the cost of the Blue Scholars show, Beeson said.

"We can't do anything but break even, because there's nothing to fall back on," he said.

With 140 tickets sold as of Monday, success is not yet in hand. If the show falters, however, it won't be for a lack of trying. Capon and his friends plan to hand out as many as 5,000 fliers. They set up a table at the Everett Mall on Sunday, and on Monday, hit Everett Community College.

Local Filmmaker ZIA (who works on most of the important Seattle Hip-Hop Music Videos) has a new film out that's been in and around festivals over the last year, and now finally available on the Internet!

Big shout out to Zia who worked with Henry and I on multiple things and stay tuned for The Emerald City film to be on the internet in a few months as well, so long as Henry stays with his current plan he told me a while ago.
