Short Film Contest
My great friend H Darrow over at Crooked Lake Productions is holding a short film contest. I forgot to post the news up here when he was taking submissions, but now he's got a bunch of "One Shot" stories to go through and wants people to decide his next film.
So got to http://crookedlp.com/news and vote on your favorite idea.
My vote goes to:
10. Not Enough
This is a story about a guy at a party having fun, interacting with his friends, while still feeling alone.
The shot starts behind the main character outside walking to the party then when he walks in the camera rotates and leads him to friends as he interacts with them. During these conversations with friends we learn about the character but never the reason behind everything being not enough.

Emerald City Journeys to Oklahoma (booo Thunder!)
Henry McComas (director of the critically acclaimed film, Emerald City) has posted his blog about the trip on Crookedlp.com.
Stay tuned for more information on his newest project Pheonix Falling:
With that being said, Crookedlp.com, I cannot let this feeling escape; I have started pre-production for my next budgeted film “PHOENIX FALLING.” The film has had me interviewing geneticists, doctors, and piles of books for my latest dramatic, Science Fiction project. But that story is for another day. I will tell you all about it next time.
Check out CrookedLakeProductions.com, the MySpace, and EmeraldCity.

Hometown Heroes: Emerald City Screening
So like we told ya about EARLIER. FRIDAY NIGHT was the Emerald City short film from Crooked Lake Productions. The BOMBSQUAD was in the building. Here's a few pictures.
I was in the company for like 3 years and never got a t-shirt.
A DOPE Balloon.
The SCENE.
BOMBSQUAD in the buildin! Wit my Azure Air Max 90s. You ain't got those. lol.
Director Henry McComas and the BOMBSQUAD for the gangster pose.
Henry giving a speech for 20 minutes before actually playing the movie.
Choppin it up with Peoples
Re-United.
On the way out to the AFTER-PARTY.
Now people, TRUST this was a great movie. If you haven't even seen the TRAILER yet. Go to Crooked Lake or Emerald City's Websites (up above in the post or on the side) and check it. The MOVIE itself was 14-15 minutes long and EXCEPTIONAL. Henry is meeting with Miramax in the coming weeks to discuss options with the film and then you may see the entire film up for free view on the website. For now, you'll have to settle for the Trailer and a BOOTLEG version of the films intro that Mike and I decided to snap so you can understand what we're talking about. For a film a bout music, the soundtrack more than holds it's own and you should see a track from =!= and @ sometime soon over the instrumental.
check back tomorrow for the video. =!='s cpu is actin all funky and it doesn't want to transfer. but I wanted to get the pics up now.

Hip Hop Harry
This is for tiffLOC. lol.
Drunk Saturday late nights provide easy entertainment. I saw this like 2 years ago with H Dilla one day and we thought it was the JAM, I had NO IDEA it was still on the air. Then we saw it this weekend. It's wonderful that this stuff is out there. Who knows if anybody watches it though.
