Now I'm a fan so you know it has to be bad for me to say Ali and Kyjuan sucked it up on this song. City did alright but he gets a pass for bein in jail for 10 years or whatever, but his shit got a little better as it went and he was dope on Country Grammar, so I know he's got it in him.

Murph and Nelly will always be tight to me though. Never understood the hype man thing, but gotta give slo down props for bein like yo homie, I can't rap, I can't sing, I can barely dance, just gimmie a mask and lemme fuck bitches and shit. lol. I want that job. Anyway, I'm probably the only one that is excited for this album, but I ain't afraid to admit it. fux wit it.

City Spud is out!!

So City Spud, St. Lunatic and Nelly's half-brother, was released from prison in July 2008. Now i know this is late, but i'm just really excited about this. City Spud can RHYME. for real. i personally feel that if he didn't get locked up RIGHT when the Lunatics finally emerged and put The Lou on the map, he would have been bigger than Nelly. Who knows. Hopefully he can make some good stuff still. Ride Wit Me was the JOINT. anyway Bomb Squad edit this up for me i still don't have internet in the new crib. find some pictures and/or music etc. etc. HOLLA!

BET AWARDS 2008 RECAP

Almost everyone was lip singing, or in DJ KHALED's case, Lip Hyping... (I forget what Mike called it. lol)

The sound production and quality was HORRIBLE throughout the night. Everyone who was actually singing's voice was wayyyy too loowww. You couldn't hear a damn thing.

Things that stood out: T-Pain moving in slow motion? Wtf?

The Chris Brown / Ciara set with the water and shapes was dope. Definitely stealing that for a work presentation. Although they got a little riskay with it lol.

Kanye bringing Weezy up on stage with him after Kanye won best male hip-hop artist of the year.

I'm not sure why BET thought half their viewers would even know who al green was or the rest of the soul singers performing. But they all held it down for sure that was the best part to me. Including WARREN SAPP! THE HOST DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO HE WAS LOL!!!

Ne-yo came with the Jabbawockeez. They're the newest for performances, Jacking that for a work presentation too.

Why did it feel like there was nooooobbody there. The director kept turning to the same people for reaction shots: Kanye, three six, Bun b, Lil Wayne, Diddy, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and his bitch and like noooobody else.

Alicia Keys bringing out SWV, en vogue and TLC was a good look. But again... people that actually sing at their performance = no love from BET because the volume stayyyyyyyyyyssssss down.

MC Lyte needs to stay out of the spotlyte. Her agent is working double time to get her gigs lately and she's pretty annoying to me. Good music. Annoying host/announcer.


Anyway, Recap Final Grade: C

Half the people weren't around for their awards acceptances, The performances were either faked or so turned down you couldn't hear anything over the beat. The scripting was terrible. Sets and designs and logos were half assed.

This song leaked out a few days ago and I thought it would be a worthy post. I'm generally a Nelly fan and think he's a little less pop than people might give him credit for but I digress...

This song is called "Bay" is Nelly impersonating and paying homage to some of his favorite Bay Area influences: Spice-1, Too Short, E-40. The beat is made by Droop-E (E-40's son).

The song isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It doesn't change the fact that for the most part Jordan's are DED to me anyways. But it's only a snippit, so who knows what the full song has in store. Also, I seriously hope the snippit video WASN'T Nelly's and was just some fanboy, bc if Nelly has some of the same J's as I do, and he's not on that super exclusive tip... I'd be a little disappointed.

EDIT: don't be disappointed fanboy lol would Nelly rock the PHILLY"S? think not. plus most of those boxes were size 8/9...pay more attention
